This female mask in it's simplistic form, has a refinement only a master carver could achieve. Smooth and graceful curves of the face are highlighted by raised bust-like eyes, pierced nose and ears and small curved mouth. The surface of the mask is encursted with layers of ochre from use, so is the back. Two holes along the perimeter of the mask where a bite stick use to be attached.
